On July 6th, ahead of the Esports World Cup (EWC) 2025, 22 clubs representing the China region gathered for a departure ceremony, marking the largest-ever Chinese delegation to an international esports tournament.

The EWC 2025 will take place from July 7th to August 24th, bringing together over 200 esports clubs and more than 2,000 professional players from around the world. The tournament,which lasts for two months, spans over 100 countries and regions, featuring fierce competition in 24 game titles across 25 events, with total prize money exceeding 70 million US dollars.

As of now, more than 20 Chinese clubs have qualified for 23 different game titles. Notably, nine of these clubs have secured spots in two or more titles, with the most competitive club qualifying in as many as eight events.

This year also marks the 35th anniversary of diplomatic ties between China and Saudi Arabia. To celebrate, the two nations have designated 2025 as the China-Saudi Arabia Year of Culture, planning a yearlong series of events including artistic performances, intangible cultural heritage exhibitions, and academic exchanges. During the EWC, Tencent Esports and the Esports World Cup Foundation (EWCF) will co-host the China-Saudi Esports Cultural Tourism Carnival in cities such as Beijing and Riyadh to further boost esports cultural exchange between the two countries.

史上最大规模！超20家中国赛区俱乐部出征2025电竞世界杯

7月6日，在2025电竞世界杯即将到来之际，代表中国赛区出征的22家中国俱乐部共同集结，开启出征仪式。这是有史以来中国电竞出征国际电竞赛事的最大阵容规模。

本届电竞世界杯举办时间为7月7日至8月24日，吸引了全球超200家电竞俱乐部、2000余名电竞选手参赛，整体覆盖100多个国家及地区。在为期近两个月的赛事中，全球电竞选手将在24个项目共计25项赛事中展开激烈角逐，争夺世界冠军荣耀与超7000万美元赛事奖金。

截至目前，20余家中国赛区俱乐部已成功晋级23个竞赛项目。其中，共有9个俱乐部成功晋级项目达到2个或以上，最高单俱乐部晋级项目数量已达8个。

今年，恰逢中沙建交35周年，双方确认共同举办2025中沙文化年，将贯穿全年举办文艺展演、非遗展示、学术研讨等系列项目。在电竞世界杯期间，腾讯电竞与EWCF（电竞世界杯基金会）也将在北京、利雅得等城市举办中沙电竞文旅嘉年华活动，助力中沙电竞文化交流。
